Panthers owner David Tepper threw a drink on a Jaguars fan last week.
The NFL fined him $300,000 for it. Bloomberg estimates his net worth to be over $19 billion.
Tepper is a notoriously interfering owner, down to the play calling. He once handed his OC a piece of paper with a play on it (mid-week) and said he'd seen Cleveland run that and wanted them to run it on Sunday. A random play.
Between his MLS and NFL teams, David Tepper has fired 4 head coaches in the last 18 months.
Tepper is known for his prediction of the 2008 financial crisis. Prior to the crisis, Tepper foresaw the collapse of the housing market and invested heavily in distressed financial institutions.
Thanks to the money he made, he can do things like this:
Tepper: "I was going to say "shit" but I can't say that on TV.
Steve Smith: "You just did. They're going to fine you."
Tepper: "I can afford it."
Or this…his former Goldman Sachs boss (and Governor of New Jersey), Jon Corzine, refused to promote him. Tepper then paid $40 million to Corzine’s ex-wife for his Hamptons house. Tepper tore it down to build a mansion twice as big.
That’s petty.
Tom Petty played the halftime show in 2008.
He used to be a gravedigger before his fame.
“I took a grave-digging job because you didn’t have to look too sharp. I got my foot caught in the lawnmower on my first day.”
Packers legend Gilbert, “The Grave Digger” Brown went on to become one of the most dominant DTs in the NFL.
He got the ‘Grave Digger’ nickname from his routine of the “Old Grave Digger” after making big plays to get teammates and fans fired up.
In 2014, Brown made the NFL Top 10 list of "Big Guys" at #2.
From 2011 until 2014, Brown was the head coach of the Green Bay Chill of the Lingerie Football League.
Thanks again for a fun season! See you guys next year. Feel free to reach out anytime with questions, feedback, or just to say hi: bettingantelope@gmail.com

1: For the first time in history, the Lions, Browns, and Texans are in the Playoffs.
19: Last night was Melvin Gordon's 19th lost fumble of his career. It's the most by any non-QB since 2015.
2012: Rookie coach DeMeco Ryans and rookie QB C.J. Stroud headed to the playoffs. First rookie-rookie combo to get to the postseason since Chuck Pagano and Andrew Luck in 2012.
34: For the 34th consecutive season — every season since 1990 — at least four teams have qualified for the playoffs after failing to make it the year before. With last night’s win, the Texans join the Lions, Browns and Rams in the playoffs. Fortunes turn quickly in the NFL.
100.8 [TRIVIA]: C.J. Stroud finishes his rookie season with a passer rating of 100.8, the 3rd highest rookie passer rating in NFL history. Who are number one and two?
