On Christmas, the trainers table broke as soon as Isaiah Pacheco sat on it.
That’s just bad luck, like when Chiefs fan "Bad Luck Chuck" went viral for leaving Arrowhead Stadium before KC came back from a 24-0 deficit.
The team hooked him up so he could enjoy the AFC Championship Game from home
Is bad luck a real thing? Ask Wes Welker:
2007, Wes Welker lost Superbowl 42 as a player with the Patriots.
2011, Wes Welker lost Superbowl 46 as a player with the Patriots.
2013, Wes Welker lost Superbowl 48 as a player with the Broncos.
2014, Patriots win Superbowl 49 the year after Wes Welker went to the Broncos.
2015, Broncos win Superbowl 50 the year after Wes Welker went to the Rams.
2019, Wes Welker lost Superbowl 54 as a WR coach with the 49ers.
Or Ted Ginn Jr.
2011: Ginn & the 49ers lose in the NFCCG due to 2 muffed punt return attempts, including one in OT that sealed the loss.
2012: Ginn & 49ers lose in the Super Bowl, with their furious comeback effort falling just short on a 4th down incompletion near the goal line.
2013: Ginn joins the Panthers, who make the playoffs and get a first round bye only to lose at home against his former team, in a game where the Panthers turned it over multiple times in the red zone.
2014: Ginn joins the Cardinals, who are rolling with the best record in the NFC halfway through the season in a year where their home stadium is hosting the Super Bowl, only for two Cardinals QB's to blow out their knees in a one month span and kill all Super Bowl hype. Lose in the playoffs to a sub-.500 team. (The sub-.500 team the Cardinals lost to was the Panthers, the team he just left.)
2015: Ginn re-joins the Panthers who go 15-1 and steamroll everyone on their schedule, only to lose in the Super Bowl.
2017: Ginn joins the Saints, who mount a furious comeback in the divisional round and have the game all but wrapped up only to lose on a last second miracle play.
2018: Ginn & the Saints secure the #1 seed and host the NFCCG, but lose due to the blatant no-call of an obvious PI.
In all, he's made the playoffs 8 times with 4 different teams (including the Dolphins in '08 not listed above), lost 2 Super Bowls, lost 2 CCG's, lost 2 Divisional games, and lost 2 Wildcard games, with 4 of his playoff losses coming in devastating heartbreaking fashion.
Luck does play a role in NFL games.
Tom Bliss, a data scientist for the NFL, has developed a model that calculates the role of luck in NFL games. The luck criteria is:
Dropped Interception: When an opponent drops an interception, the team gets lucky.
Dropped Pass: When an opponent drops a pass, the team gets lucky.
Field Goals and Extra Points: When an opponent misses a kick, the team gets lucky, and when the opponent makes a kick, the team gets unlucky.
Fumble Recoveries: When a team recovers a fumble, there’s a chance the luck of the bounce was involved.
According to Bliss’ model, the Green Bay Packers are the luckiest team in the NFL this season, with good fortune accounting for a win probability added of 179.4 percent, equivalent to about 1.8 wins.
A significant portion of this luck came from their Week 11 victory over the Chargers, where dropped passes by the Chargers added around 80 percent to their win probability.
Missed field goals and fumble recoveries are other areas where the Packers have been fortunate. Opponents have made only 79.3 percent of their field goals against Green Bay, and the Packers have a league-high recovery rate of 83.3 percent on their own fumbles.
On the other hand, the Minnesota Vikings are the unluckiest team, with a negative win probability of 176.2 percent, largely due to their fumble recoveries.

If you're betting, it doesn't make sense not to use Bet Openly.
Rather than bet "against" a book, they set you up with people taking the opposite side.
The benefit: rather than paying 10% tax to the book (-110) you "pay" 1% (-101).
6: Brad Allen has officiated 6 Lions games, they are 0-6 in these games and had 435 penalty yards to opponents 287
35: Before Brandon Aubrey, the most consecutive field goals a kicker made to begin his NFL career was 18. The Cowboys rookie is now 35-of-35.
2: Since 2002, only 1 QB has lost the MVP while being a 1 seed and ranking 1st in total EPA In 2005, Peyton Manning lost to Shaun Alexander. Brock Purdy is likely to be the second.
2 [TRIVIA]: Jared Goff is just the second QB in NFL history to lead two separate teams to a division title following a 10+ season drought, joining who?

“Nah, they need to leave it as that. At that point, you need to hold onto the ball if you really want to score. Obviously, for myself, I need to do the same thing. Finishing the play, finishing the drive…Physicality on the boundary.”
