Titans rookie punter Ryan Stonehouse broke the NFL’s oldest single-season record this in 2022.
Stonehouse averaged 53.1 yards per punt during the regular season, breaking the previous record of 51.4 yards per punt was set by Sammy Baugh in 1940.
Samuel Adrian Baugh was an American professional football player and coach. During his college and professional careers, he most notably played quarterback, but also played as a safety and punter.
Jay-Z wore Baugh's Mitchell & Ness 1947 Washington jersey in his 2002 video for "Girls, Girls, Girls." This increased demand for the throwback jersey and renewed popular awareness of Baugh.
In February 2022, sports merchandise giant, Fanatics, acquired vintage team jersey maker Mitchell & Ness for around $250 million.
Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin teamed up with rappers Jay-Z, Meek Mill and Lil Baby — and Maverick Carter, a business partner of LeBron James — on the purchase.

“@NFL Since y’all all about the coin flipping let’s do this. Let’s have a coin toss to pay this crazy fine for expressing myself. If it’s heads I’ll pay. If it’s tails Roger G pay the money to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cincinnati. 🪙 #AllAboutTheKids #WhoDey”

“I really do think the biggest advantage is that little shift from assessment of somebody else [game planning for opponents] to self-assessment. Because we fully believe that success on game day, at the end of the day, is going to come down to us. Whether we make mistakes, whether we turn the ball over, all of these things have been very controllable from our point of view.”
All Pro Center Jason Kelce on the most important benefit of a bye week
“In this league, everybody is pretty much banged up. I don’t want to speak for him and whatever he’s going through with the contracts. But for me, you got a chance to do something special. He can will this team to a SuperBowl. I don’t think he’s thinking about it that way“

Dak Prescott
So much changing of the guard for QBs since 2019. Only 3 years ago, Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Rivers, Dalton, Ryan, Stafford, Newton, Roethlisberger, and Wilson all had longer streaks than what Dak has.
