To prepare for Monday night’s game in Green Bay, Saints QB coach Andrew Janocko took Spencer Rattler and the rest of his quarterbacks into the walk-in freezer in the team’s cafeteria Saturday to run through plays.
Walk-in freezers are typically kept at temperatures ranging from -10°F to 0°F (-23°C to -18°C).
Contrary to common belief, freezers don't introduce cold air but remove warm air. The condensing unit circulates warm air out of the freezer space, maintaining low temperatures.
In the USA, 60 people die from walk-in freezer accidents per year.
TIP FROM AN HVAC MAINTENANCE WORKER ON REDDIT: If you are trapped in a walk in cooler, the first thing you’ll want to do is find something thin to stick in the fan blades so they stop turning. This will overheat the compressor (outside) and the cooler will stop cooling. If there is a temperature alarm, it will sound and you’ll likely attract some attention.
In 2019, Antonio Brown was sued by a chef for allegedly not paying his $38,000 bill. This incident stemmed from a salmon head and the freezer..
(To be clear, this isn’t the same former of Brown who claimed Brown got fake vaccination card from another player.)
According to Celebrity chef Stefano Tedeschi, he was hired to cook for Brown for three days during the 2018 Pro Bowl week.
There were no issues during the first day, but when Tedeschi put a fish head in the freezer and left it there so he could use it as part of the next day's meal, Brown and his camp perceived it to be a threat.
"Apparently they misunderstood the fish head," Tedeschi told TMZ Sports. "I said, 'Who could have possibly misunderstood a fish head in the freezer? Tell me, what person with intelligence could have misplaced a fish head for some mob, horse head?'
Tedeschi was subsequently kicked out of Brown's house—and he was never compensated for his services.
Maybe Andy Reid can give Chef Tedeschi’s number to his pals working in the White House kitchen.
Recently, Reid was asked about the trip to the White House while he was at a press conference. Specifically, which year had the better food.
“They do a great job,” Andy Reid said. “I had a chance to meet all the chefs. They do a heck of a job back there. So, I would say it’s a jump ball between the two years. It’s all good.”
“They had a fish,” Reid said. “Some fried fish that was like fish tots. Everything was bite-sized. So, that gets dangerous.”
Los Angeles Chargers outside linebacker Joey Bosa spent his offseason eating until he was uncomfortable.
“Eating isn't really enjoyable these days,” Bosa said. “It's more so just part of the job.”
Bosa estimates he eats between 4,500 to 5,000 calories per day.
That’s roughly eight Venti (20 oz) White Hot Chocolates from Starbucks. It contains approximately 640 calories, 28 grams of fat, and 78 grams of sugar.
